The Play Selection Committee will soon consider shows for the 2020/2021 season. We will present our proposed slate to the Board of Directors at the February Board meeting. The proposed slate will consist of six plays and attendant directors (one in each time slot). In order to accomplish the above, we need your submissions by November 8. Directors are limited to three submissions for full productions and must provide the Committee with one copy of each play. Scripts will be returned to you once the Board has accepted a slate.
Within our proposal to the Board, the Committee seeks a variety and balance of directors, genres (comedy, tragedy, etc.), set and other technical requirements (including potential production costs), roles for men and women of various ages, and target audience. If you are looking for works to submit, most shows are handled by Dramatists Play Service www.dramatists.com or Samuel French www.samuelfrench.com.
